Look for abundant sunshine through the rest of the day, with clear skies expected through the overnight hours. Temperatures will drop once again with clear skies and light winds, and a Freeze Warning will go into effect for most of the area.
As upper-level high pressure builds in, sunshine is expected through Saturday. After a cold start, temperatures will quickly warm during the day into the 70s, with winds turning out of the south.
By Sunday, increasing clouds and a slight chance of a few mountain showers will be in the offing as stronger upper-level energy moves overhead. The I-25 corridor and eastern Plains will remain dry, although there is a non-zero chance for a few light sprinkles to make it out of the mountains by the evening. Monday will feature more of the same, with partly cloudy skies and a chance for a few mountain showers. By the middle of next week, a stronger upper-level storm system moves in. This will increase chances for heavier rain across the mountains first, then into the I-25 corridor and eastern Plains by the end of the week. Daytime highs during this time will continue to reach the 70s, above-average for mid-October, with overnight lows not expected to dip to freezing for most.
